About The Role
We are currently hiring a Full-time / Part-time Veterinary Receptionist. The Receptionist is responsible for providing exceptional service to our patients and clients, possessing strong communication skills and an intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office. We strive to provide team members with a dynamic and challenging work environment and promote personal and professional growth through continuing education, development opportunities, and the ability to work autonomously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in office administration or customer service is preferred
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment and interact collaboratively and professionally with clients and team members
- Respectful of the human-animal bond and comfortable working with cats and dogs
- Is enthusiastic and responsive to coaching and mentorship
- As we are a technology-based clinic, candidates must be comfortable with computers and online software
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing exceptional client service, greeting and building lasting relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Greets handles, and treats animals with kindness, compassion, patience, and skill, using fear-free techniques; nurtures an environment that makes them feel safe and secure
- Provides an organized and calm procedural and patient flow throughout the medical treatment areas
- Answering phone and email inquiries, scheduling and confirming appointments, and placing outbound follow-up calls
- Presenting and explaining fees; processing payments
- Answering questions regarding products and services; educating clients on non-medical pet care
- Routinely contributes to the cleanliness and organization of the clinic to ensure all guests leave with a lasting positive impression
*Technician Assistants and Receptionists will be cross-trained and will be expected to provide direct assistance to Veterinarians and Technicians and general assistance throughout the hospital with appointments, treatments, procedures, and surgeries

Registered Veterinary Technician Part-Time
We are getting busier every day and are looking to add a dedicated and experienced Registered Veterinary Technologist to our team part-time! Specifically, we are looking for coverage from 8am-5pm on Fridays, to help with the chaos that Fridays often entail. As our patient list grows, there is always potential for this role to transition to full-time in the future. Our practice supports our team with a fun, positive environment so everyone can thoroughly enjoy their workday.
About The Role
Our Ideal Candidate for the RVT position is an enthusiastic individual with a passion for providing excellent patient care and building positive client relationships. Our clinic is passionate about so many things including anesthesia, dentistry, nutrition and Fear Free handling. Making sure staff feel supported and valued while performing daily tasks is very important to us, as is making sure all our patients feel happy and safe while in our care. Employee and patient safety is top priority, which is why we provide things such as high quality monitoring equipment, a ventilator for surgeries and hands free radiographs (with a fully leaded separate suite). Our ideal RVT will be doing things such as assisting the veterinarian in appointments, monitoring anesthesia, scaling and polishing teeth during dental procedures, taking radiographs, blood draws, urine collections, and so much more.

About The Role
We are currently hiring Full-time / Part-time Registered Veterinary Technicians. The RVT is responsible for providing exceptional care to our patients and clients, possessing strong communication and collaboration skills within a team environment. The RVT works with our veterinarians in administering and monitoring medicine in accordance with ABVMA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Veterinary Technician Diploma from an accredited animal health technology program.
- Passed the VTNE or will soon be passing the VTNE.
- Good standing with their provincial regulatory association.
We require our RVT to understand and perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to):
- Taking vitals and physical exams
- Gathering medical history
- Administration and preparation of medications
- Placing IV catheters
- In-patient and out-patient medical care
- Phlebotomy, sample collection and running diagnostic tests
- Pre, intra and post- op surgical care and analgesia
- Drug calculations
- Assist with inventory management
- Provide instructions for routine care and preventative measures
- Communicate in a compassionate and professional manner with clients and team members
- Administrative functions including answering phones & emails, scheduling appointments, presenting and explaining fees, and processing payments. Ability to learn and effectively utilize practice management software
Our clinic fully supports the RVT Mobilization initiative, and RVT’s will be empowered to perform all responsibilities within their ABVMA license. We require our TA to understand and perform the basic responsibilities of a Technician Assistant, including (but not limited to):
- Safe and fear-free animal restraint for RVT and DVM appointments or procedures
- Answering phones and handling financial transactions
- Assisting with clinic inventory and stock
- Client communication and support
- Maintain clinic facilities (laundry, cleaning, organizing) and laboratory equipment
- Prepare and dispense medications as appropriate
- Assist with various grooming tasks such as nail trimming and medical de-matting
- Assisting with hospitalized patient care and nutrition
- Assisting RVT with preparing a patient for surgery and post-op care
- Preparing what is required for future appointments and surgeries
- Contribute to the maintenance of medical records and communication
- Technician Assistants and Receptionists will be cross-trained and will be expected to provide shift coverage as needed
