Your clinic is closed and I’m worried my pet needs to get seen for medical attention asap, what are the 24-hour emergency clinics in Calgary?
We cannot be open all the time and we are so thankful for the emergency clinics in Calgary taking care of our patients 24-7. Here is a list of some emergency clinics you may reach out to:
- Calgary Animal Referral and Emergency CARE 403-520-8387
- Trinity Hills 24 Hour Pet Hospital 403-233-2888
- Calgary North Emergency 403-277-0135
I’m scared of needles or seeing medical things being done to my pet, do I have to be present for these things?
Can you clean my pet’s teeth while they are awake?
To properly clean your pet’s teeth and remove bacteria, the space under the gumline (“subgingival”) must be scaled and polished. There is no way to effectively accomplish this while they are awake. This means that anesthesia-free cleanings are more cosmetic in nature, where the teeth look nice and clean, but nothing has been done to treat the inflammation and disease under the gumline.
