Pet Periodontal Preventative Care & Intervention
The veterinarians and healthcare team at Village Vet have a special interest in canine and feline dental health. Dogs and cats have similar tooth anatomy and disease processes to humans, so they also experience the same dental health needs. We offer dental hygiene assessments and treatments, including oral radiographs, detailed probing and examination, and scaling and polishing. Doing these yearly and when otherwise recommended allows your pet to keep its optimum oral health throughout its lifetime.
We also offer more complicated dental procedures, such as tooth extractions due to periodontal disease or trauma. The most important thing is to give your pet a pain-free mouth, which sometimes means removing broken or diseased teeth.
